Null and Void
This is a series of abstract photographs of advertisements painted on an old wall in the city of Jaipur (India), that Mayank—an ex advertising art director—came across during an afternoon walk. The advertisements, when viewed up-close, seemed fascinating and they were photographed with focus on their physical qualities: forms, patterns, textures and colours, in the process nullifying the persuasive advertising messages!

This series consists of nightly reflections on smooth and streamlined bodies of motorcars, photographed at a New Delhi marketplace in 2007. These abstract images carry strong characteristics of dynamism, speed and energy and stylistically resemble the famous art movement Futurism.

In this series of abstract photographs, Mayank recollects his pictorial journey of many months: exploring urban, natural and rural lakes, observing and photographing trees, branches, leaves, shadows, the sun, sky and clouds as they merged with the surface of water into new rhythms.
