Photographs of shapes and patterns of light falling from windows in and around Mayank’s room, this time in colour.
The light came through the window, straight from the sun above. And so inside my little room, there plunged the rays of love. — Leonard Cohen
A speck of sunlight coming in through the window of Mayank’s room caught his attention on a winter morning in 2010. Intrigued by its interesting, abstract shape, he captured with his camera the transient shapes and patterns that angular morning light was making in and around his room, into a series of black and white photographs. See the older gallery Light Came Through the Window, the name of which was inspired by the beautiful song Love Itself by Leonard Cohen.
On another winter morning in 2014, he chased and photographed the light patterns in and around his room once again. This time, however, colour played an important role in the images. They are showcased in this gallery, and available as affordable digital prints on archival quality fine art papers. Print sizes: 22 x 16 or 16 x 12 inches.
